HP Makes Home Business Better with new DeskJet

HP Launching new DeskJet Printer, Perfect Home Business Partner:

Last week, HP launched their new; HP DeskJet GT Series of Ink Tank printers, which according to the demonstration, offers users an affordable high quality print option for home and family use, but also small business use.

I asked the presenter at the recent launch event about the printer’s use for home office business and the printer turns out to be perfect for a start up business; having the capability to generate from five thousand to eight thousand prints before needing to be refilled by HP original only ink bottles (I have to mention, there are no generics yet, but you can get HP Ink from your local Incredible Connection).

The goal is to reduce over head cost in a start up business; I think to have a printer of this level would be a perfect companion, I wouldn’t need to run to the local PostNet every time I need a client contract printed.

Oh, I can also print through my phone via the HP App, no complicated cables, which, if you’re in a hurry, like I am on most days, this is quick and easy. Though, the app is a pain to setup initially, once it’s done, it’s seamless, weirdly so, the printer and the entire processes is near silent. (The lack of general notifications I’m used to with my older printer was unnerving at first)

“High volume home users are focused on efficiency and are constantly on the lookout for innovation that can reduce cost and minimise disruption to their work,” said Jane Geypen, HPS Category Manager for South Africa. “The new HP DeskJet GT series makes high-quality, reliable printing more affordable and wireless printing and ink refill easy and fuss-free.”

HP Printer App:

According to the press, the working environment today needs to be connected and wireless. The new HP DeskJet GT 5820 All-in-One printer makes it easy for users working remotely to connect via smartphones and tablets, which just smacks of start-up vibes! Wi-Fi direct enables users to directly connect their printer to the mobile device at home.

In addition, with the HP All-in-One Printer Remote app, users can quickly send scans to email or cloud storage through their mobile device.

You should be able to use any device for your mobile printing, including; iPhone and iPad using AirPrint™, or smartphones and tablets running Android, Windows 8, Windows 10, and Google Chrome operating systems.

Pricing and Availability:

  • The HP Deskjet GT 5820 All-in-One printer starts at R3999.00 and is expected to be available in South Africa in  May 2017.
  • The HP Deskjet GT 5810 All-in-One printer starts at R2999.00 and is expected to be available in South Africa in May 2017. (Probably from your local tech store like Incredible Connection). *Wishes Incredible connection paid me for these punts*

I personally would love this printer in my office, I could do everything from Third Planet work, to printing out my latest Instagram photos to spam my housemates with! The fact that it’s wireless is probably the biggest plus for me, I have no more room for more wires.

Let me know if I helped you out when it comes to your next printer purchase, I’d love to know.
