Call of Duty Black Ops 4 TDM Demo Review

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Demo:

I’ve not enjoyed a Call of Duty game since Call of Duty World at War. In my opinion; World at War is the only other successful Call of Duty title developed by Treyarch since the original trilogy of Call of Duty titles.

Reviewing some of the early gameplay footage of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, I was interested to see if this would finally be the Call of Duty game we’ve all been waiting for.

Team Deathmatch at rAge Expo 2018:

Testing out a Team Deathmatch Pre-Beta Demo at rAge Expo 2018, my suspicions were confirmed!

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is indeed the Call of Duty game I’ve been looking for: combining the fast, action-packed and high definition gameplay of its predecessor Black Ops 3 and taking in lessons learned from Infinity Ward’s Infinite Warfare brand flop.

I only managed a few sessions of the Team Deathmatch mode, and didn’t get to experience Call of Duty Blackout or Call of Duty Zombies, but, the tension and competitive feeling was there, mixed up in realistic and heart pumping visuals and sounds, this is a title I think I need to explore every aspect of.

Saying that though, it was just a Team Deathmatch pre-beta demo and not the full game.

I would be pleased with just a stand-alone Call of Duty Blackout actually, which is 80% of the reason I want the game now.

There’s no single-player campaign, which; while not essential, would have been nice to play at any rate considering the price tag of just under R1000 for the whole game, not including DLC.

Do yourself a favour though; give it a month before buying the game unless you’re insanely confident in its gameplay and competitive mechanics, I’m going to wait, just to be safe, I won’t be hurt again.
